Install GPMBoxPlus
How to run GPMBoxPlus_Setup.exe: remove VirtualBox, old GPMBox and T13, clean leftovers with Uninstall Support, approve the GPM driver prompt and verify the install.
Before installing
- You have run the Pre-Install Checker and no FAIL items remain. Most importantly, Secure Boot is off.
- You have removed all virtualization software built on VirtualBox (Oracle VirtualBox, the old GPMBox, T13…) and no leftover drivers remain.
- Close any programs that depend on an important network connection. Installing the virtual network drivers briefly drops your network connection.
Remove virtualization software built on VirtualBox
GPMBoxPlus is developed from the open-source VirtualBox code base. So are many other virtualization products, and they typically install the same kind of host drivers (VBoxSup, VBoxNetLwf, VBoxUSBMon…) or renamed variants of them. Two such driver sets cannot coexist on one PC: they compete for services, virtual network adapters and USB, causing virtual machines to fail to start or behave erratically. Therefore, uninstall all of the following (if present) before installing GPMBoxPlus:
- Oracle VirtualBox. If it is still installed, the GPMBoxPlus installer stops with the message “Oracle VirtualBox is installed on this computer…”.
- Older versions of GPMBox / GpmrealBox.
- T13 and other antidetect virtual machine software.
- In general, any virtualization software built on open-source VirtualBox.
Uninstall each one via Settings → Apps → Installed apps (or Control Panel → Programs and Features), then restart the PC.
Clean up with Uninstall Support
Some uninstallers do not remove every driver and service, especially when the uninstall fails or is interrupted. In that case, use the GPMBoxPlus Uninstall Support tool (GPMBoxPlusUninstallSupport.exe). Its interface is in Vietnamese; the English meaning of each button is given in parentheses below. Use this tool when:
- the uninstaller reports an error, or the software is gone but VirtualBox virtual network adapters / services remain;
- the GPMBoxPlus installer still reports that VirtualBox is detected even though you have uninstalled it;
- GPMBoxPlus is installed but virtual machines report a driver error, even though Secure Boot is off.
Run as Administrator
Download
GPMBoxPlusUninstallSupport.exefrom gpmboxplus.com, right-click it and choose Run as administrator. Without Administrator rights, the tool can only scan and cannot remove anything.Review the scan results
The tool scans automatically on launch: leftover processes, devices, network components, services, driver packages and driver files from VirtualBox, GPMBox, GpmrealBox, GPMBoxPlus and Guest Additions. Items that match the catalogue are pre-selected. Suspicious items (names containing vbox, virtualbox, gpmbox… but not in the catalogue, typically drivers from software such as T13) are highlighted in yellow and are not pre-selected.
Use the Chọn mục trong danh mục (Select catalogue items), Chọn tất cả (Select all) and Bỏ chọn (Clear selection) buttons to adjust the selection. Only select a suspicious item if you are sure it belongs to virtualization software you have already uninstalled.
Remove the selected items
Click Xóa mục đã chọn (Remove selected). The tool stops processes, removes devices and network filters, then deletes leftover services, driver packages and files. It then rescans so you can check the result.
Restart if prompted
Files that are locked will be deleted on the next restart. If the Khởi động lại (Restart) button appears, click it to restart the PC, then reopen the tool and click Quét lại (Rescan) to make sure the list is clean. When done, continue to running the installer.
Run the installer
Download and run GPMBoxPlus_Setup.exe
Download the installer from gpmboxplus.com. Double-click
GPMBoxPlus_Setup.exeand choose Yes when Windows asks for Administrator permission (UAC).Follow the setup wizard
Click Next on the welcome screen. On the component selection screen, we recommend keeping the defaults (USB, Networking Bridged/Host-Only). You can change the installation folder if needed.
Confirm the network warning
The installer shows a Network Interfaces warning: your network connection will drop briefly while the virtual network drivers are installed. Click Yes to continue, then click Install.
The GPM Software Solutions driver prompt
During installation, Windows may show a Windows Security dialog asking “Would you like to install this device software?” with the publisher GPM Software Solutions. This dialog appears because the drivers are signed with a GPM certificate and are not yet signed by Microsoft (Microsoft Partner registration and driver submission are in progress).
- Check Always trust software from “GPM Software Solutions” so you are not asked again for the remaining drivers.
- Click Install.
After installation
- Click Finish. If the installer asks you to restart, restart the PC.
- Open GPMBoxPlus from the Start menu or the Desktop shortcut. The title bar shows GPMBoxPlus v1.0.0 - A High-Performance Virtual Machine.
- Continue with activating your license. Until it is activated, you can still create virtual machines but cannot start them.
Uninstall / reinstall
Uninstall GPMBoxPlus like any other software via Settings → Apps → Installed apps. If the uninstaller fails, or if leftover drivers remain before reinstalling / upgrading to a new version, use Uninstall Support as described above.
